Golden Temple is originally known as Harmandir sahib. The darbar ( where they do prayer ) is situated in the centre of sarovar and its interiors are made up of pure gold. The main thing of this gurudwara or temple is that here food is available for every person at any time for free which is said as langar by their locals.Golden temple is open for everyone 24/7. It has four gates which resembles that people of every religion can come here without any discrimination.

2.) If you are nearby bus stand then hire rickshaw from that place and give them 10 to 20rs. Per Person only.
Try to eat food from Golden Temple also. They give free food to all 24/7. Food is closed for just 2 hours approx., from midnight 12 to 2 Am for the cleanliness of room.

Basically people can go anytime they want because temple never close. But the best time to visit is 4am Because at that time lightning make golden temple more beautiful. And you can also enjoy the drum beats that they are playing at that time.

Durgiana temple:-  If you have enough time remains then you can also visit at Durgiana temple (Seetla mandir). Best time to go Durgiana temple is when you are coming from Golden Temple because Durgiana temple is very close to Golden Temple. You can go Durgiana temple by hiring auto rickshaw or paddle rickshaw. It will take 10 minutes and they will charge 10 or 20 rupees per person.
